World famous comedian died today after a tragic accident
A COMEDIAN Tony Knight died in a terrible accident at a French music festival.
Tony, who is 54 years old, was at the Rock & Cars festival in Lavaur last month when the accident happened.
A family member told Fox News Digital that a big tree branch fell on top of the stand-up comedian and a few other people who were at the festival.
“He was in good shape, happy, and healthy. He had everything going for him.” “He was well-liked, funny, passionate, and loved by his partner Hayley, his family, and his friends all over the world,” a family member told the news source.
French news outlets say that Tony was the only person hurt in the accident, which is being looked into by local police.
People who knew and loved the comedian shared their sadness on social media about his death.
“I’m sorry to hear about Tony Knight. Things like this are always hard to hear about. It’s important to remember how much laughter and joy he brought to so many people with his comedy, someone wrote on Facebook.
“Wow, you have no idea when or how you’ll spend your last day in this world.” That’s pretty scary to think about. A strange accident. “I’m so sorry for your family’s loss,” said the second.
“Rest easy, my love. Sending my condolences to your family and friends. “Sorry to lose you, sir,” said a third.
“Wow that’s so sad, especially those that help animals, prayers to all his loved ones,” a fourth said.
“This is very sad news. “RIP Tony,” someone else wrote.
“May God bless you and your family.” “May you rest in peace…” added a sixth.
Tony’s longtime partner Hayley Wright’s sister set up a GoFundMe in his honor to help pay for his funeral and medical bills.
As of July 5, more than $8,000 of the $20,000 goal had been raised.
Tony was getting ready to go on a comedy tour in the UK in the coming months before he died.
It was also known that Tony loved dogs a lot. On his website, he called himself a “dog listener.”
Tony “helped people all over the world” learn how to interact with their furry friends through different means, Hayley’s sister wrote on GoFundMe about the side job.
She also said that he was about to teach well-known dog classes all over Europe before his sudden death.
The Washington, DC native’s most recent show, Mad Dogs and an Englishman, was a huge hit all over Australia and other countries.
Tony was also an actor, as shown on his IMDB page. He was in The Legend of Awesomest Maximus (2011), The Saxon Chronicles (2006), and Unicorn City (2012).
Though the Englishman was legally living in Australia, he has spent the last four years living with his partner Hayley on her family farm in Beaufort. They have been together for more than 15 years.
It is said that Hayley wants to spread Tony’s ashes in France.
